A few years back we can judge the age of the person by seeing gray hairs. But nowadays graying of hairs occurs so early. A lot of stress, anxiety, eating habits and change of lifestyle are responsible for this. Graying of hairs is due to loss of melanin pigment in the hairs. Premature graying means graying starts at 20-25 years of age. At this age, if one see graying then please find the root cause and manage according to this.

10 Best Home remedies to prevent premature graying of hairs
Graying of hairs is due to loss of melanin pigment. It may be irreversible but due to some home remedies may be prevented.
Amla or Indian gooseberry
Amla is a rich source of Vitamin C that is antioxidant. So its role as an anti-aging product. Add amla to your diet.
Take amla paste and apply on the scalp wash after 20-30 minutes with cold water.
Use amla juice, lemon juice and almond oil in equal quantity for the message of hairs and scalp. This is good for gray and healthy hairs.
Boil 2 tsp of dried amla powder with 1 cup of coconut oil till oil turns brown. Message your hair daily with this oil. Keep it overnight and wash with cold water in the morning.
Coconut oil and curry leaves
Boil a handful of curry leaves with 100 ml coconut oil for till the leaves turn black then strain it. Apply to the scalp overnight. Message with this oil at least for three months.
These are rich in copper and reduce graying of hairs. It is a byproduct of sugarcane. Eat 1-2 tsp of this daily for months to get results.
Henna powder with tea leaves and lemon juice make a paste and apply on the hair leave it for 5 to 6 hours. Wash with cold water. Use it for coloring instead of dyes.
Take henna leaves and boil with coconut or mustard oil and then the message.
Henna leaves paste with amla powder 3 tsp and curd, 1 tsp of coffee powder make a paste and apply to the scalp weekly.
Sesame oil with carrot juice and fenugreek seeds
Take an equal amount of sesame oil and carrot juice mix with a half quantity of fenugreek seeds powder put in a bottle of sunlight for 21 days. Apply this on scalp for three months to prevent gray hairs.
Rosemary and sage
Take equal quantity of rosemary and dried sage half cup and boil with 2 cups of water for 30 minutes. Cool, it for 3 hours. Apply on hairs. After drying wash with shampoo. Use it weekly for few days and then monthly for good results.
Amaranth is a home remedy to prevent graying of hairs. Fresh juice of leaves applies on hairs prevent graying of hairs. This is also good for hair growth and texture. This vegetable is full of nutrients.
Black tea has antioxidants and caffeine. Good for hair growth and natural shine. It maintains natural color of hair. Boil 2 tsp of black tea seeds and 1 tsp of salt with water for 2 minutes. Cool and strain it. Wash hairs with this 2 to 3 times in a week.
Buttermilk is a rich source of lactic acid that nourishes the hair and acts as a conditioner. Make a pack of curry leaves paste and buttermilk. Apply it to the hairs and leave for 30 minutes wash with herbal shampoo.
Shikakai natural remedy to prevent graying of hairs. It reduces dryness of scalp. Hairs become smooth and healthy by using it. Make a paste of shikakai powder with curd and apply on the scalp and hairs. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash with water.

If you see gray at a young age then consult your dermatologist and know about the cause. Change in your lifestyle and food habits.
Stress is an important factor so do stress relieving methods like yoga and meditation.

Chemical found in hair colors are harmful to hairs if we use it for a long time. If necessary use ammonia free hair colors.
Avoid shampoo contains harmful chemicals. Use herbal or organic shampoo.
